My fix is cured (Was that 3 days without an MB shot – I can’t remember still shaking from withdrawal symptims).

Worth the wait though, this is utterly fantastic!

It looks like a cacade from the clouds through the ray of light, onto the rocks and then the splash – cause and effect in pure imagary!

What a shot!!

Fantastic.. the seascape and sunset are awesome and then you look closer and see the detail of the ship on the horizon caught in the rays of sunlight.. Cracking shot!

Love the way the rock formation almost looks like an elephant’s hide, very textural… and has an amazing shimmer bouncing from it… overall colour balance and light source make it for me! Great work mel!

Mel, this certainly is traditional, charming and timeless—you could’nt have found a better title. You always manage to get intense drama in your shots, partly down to your knack of choosing just the right weather conditions, focal length, shutter speed and exposure… but what really impresses me about this shot is your timing. You waited till the clouds blocked the sun enough to avoid burning out the surrounding area and to filter through to get those amazing rays. And the way you captured that wave on the left so perfectly reinforces the composition. Everything from the rocky foreground to the distant city skyline contributes to the scene to make this a total feast, and it is definitely one of my favorites of your lanscape shots. Lovely, timeless work.

This is so very unbelieveable. I was just browsing through thumbnails, liked the look of the image and I see “Mooloolaba.” Until we met a family from Mooloolaba searching for a family grave in York cemetery (England) we had never heard of the place.
The Parkers have become firm friends and I thank you for this little glipmse of their heaven.
