oh so good – is it the extension tube that gives you the shallowest depth of field in the universe ?

  • Mel Brackstone replied

I have a set of three, sjem….the 12mm is the one I can hand hold, the others are 20mm and 36mm….and you can combine all three…THATS when you get the shallowest depth of field in the universe! I haven’t been able to get my eyes to focus well enough to make good use of the three, let alone the 20mm and or 36mm….

Bloody hell mel – I presume that means you have to manual focus then ?

  • Mel Brackstone replied

I always manually focus macros, its the only way I get the focus where I want it, rather than letting the camera choose….we all know that’s only going to end in tears ;)
