This is actually the petrified remains of a prehistoric rock monster… don`t know how is butt got separated from the rest, but I guess that`s one of the many beautiful mysteries of your neck of the woods… don`t think I`ve ever even seen one in Belgium.
You`ve captured it with such fitting drama. I`m sure Mr. Simon would be proud! Lovely work Mel… nice butt!

Excellent foreground interest (I’m assuming this didn’t come from the boot of your car!) Mel. Lovely looking rock, so deep in textures and the small layer of moss lying on it is really nice. Lovely water movement, especially along the shoreline and a delightful sky with warm orange tones reflecting nicely in the water.

Mel, certain photos (esp. landscape stuff) have the ability to move me as if I were looking at some kind of religious artifact. Is it profound? Mysterious? So starkly beautiful I want to weep? I’m not a religious person (most organized religion makes me cringe) but yet I yearn quite achingly for some kind of proof that there is something out there, that we aren’t just advanced biological accidents. You’ll see this yearning for ‘God’ in much of my writing and many of the pieces I have ‘favorited’. I looked at this photo and my immediate reaction was…
How can there not be a God, with something like that photo painted upon the earth??
