“Why did I ever trust a chipmunk named Scott”
`Why did I ever trust a chipmunk called Scott? Who ever heard of a chipmunk called Scott anyway? Hugo mumbled to himself.
Hugo Raven was a handsome bird with an unfortunate penchant for shiny objects. I say unfortunate because every time Hugo had gone chasing those shiny objects, something always went wrong. This time was no different – luck was not Hugo’s friend. When luck fell in space, it always missed Hugo.
`Now what was it that chipmunk said again? Follow the Latin crow south. No, no, that’s not right. Turn south when the crow is Latin? Arrrrrrrgh that doesn’t sound right either.’
Hugo now wished he had paid more attention to the chipmunk instead of being distracted by Scott’s star-studded bow tie, but it was very shiny.
‘Corvus’ was indeed the Latin word for crow. It was a shame Hugo had never studied Latin, as his latest predicament was sure to lead him into the large hands of trouble.
