Yasashi Buri
Yasashi Buri in Japanese means “Long time, no see.” I choose this title because Mt. Fuji is very shy. It rarely shows itself properly except on cloudless days. It`s often shrouded in clouds. So I like to imagine this glorious mountain as being very shy, as it`s kinda hard to see at times. The best time to go is in winter when there are more cloudless days. And before noon is best, as by lunch time the clouds start to descend and it`s getting harder to see by then. It`s such a beautiful mountain. It`s hard to take your eyes off it, because there`s something magical about it in my opinion.
I like the layers in this shot. First a layer of thistles and shrub. Next a layer of mountains that can be seen clearly. Then finally Fuji San and some other mountains shrouded in mist and cloud. I hope you like this sepia toned shot of Mt. Fuji, Japan. I thought it`s a little more unusual than the average shot of Fuji San. Mt. Fuji in the background, taken from the top of Mt. Takao, Japan.
