Awakening

Melanie McQuoid

Awakening

On the way to Nigata for a pre-wedding trip and we stopped at a service station. The clouds were really interesting and I was just messing around with my camera and “Volia!”

This shot was very underexposed intentionally to make the clouds really dramatic. I then added a sepia tint.

Also added the original unedited version in blue. Please tell me which one you prefer sepia or blue.

Awakening belongs to the following groups:

Skyscapes, Sunrise, Sunset and Vibrant and Vivid Color Available for sale as

Greeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints and Mounted Prints

It’s hard to decide, but I think I prefer this one. A beautiful shot, especially the capture of the sun.

Hi Melanie. Your picture is very lovely. I like the Sepia best….both are very nice but for me the Sepia is the favorite.

i think i like the intensity of the blue one better. they are both great. i bet you used a light-speed shutter speed to get the sun to look like that. i hope you didn’t compose through the viewfinder too long! :)
