Nanchatte

Nanchatte

Nanchatte means fake in Japanese. I thought this title apt, as these aren`t actually real Geisha or Maiko, just Japanese tourists playing make believe. It`s possible to go to a photo studio, dress up, walk out to Kiyomisu Dera in Kyoto and be photographed. A lot of people are under the impression the “Geisha” is real.
