THE BEGINNERS CORNER.
Hamilton Island, Queensland. These 3 cute Sulphur Crested Cockatoos
took over our picnic table. Normally Cockatoo feathers are very white, these 3
where an off white colour, maybe due to being near the sea.

Canon EOS 1100D

I love taking photos of all things in nature. Sunny Queensland
is where I call home.

I didn’t think they ate bread lol. Great shot, Margaret.

  • These Cockatoos were so tame. They fly on to balconys and guests are warned to close their balcony door or the birds will come in. I think they just about eat anything. LOL. This photo was taken right opposite the Hamilton Island Bakery near the marina. We just let them have a little nibble of the bread, as I
realise it is not good for them. Glad you like.

An adorable moment captured! So amazing to see them free. They looks so happy and playful!

  • Thanks Angie! Yes, it was an adorable moment. They were quite relaxed and they seemed to enjoy the
attention. My favourite birds. Glad you like. :)

After seeing many a cockatoo confined to a cage as a pet, I was thrilled to see cockatoos living a free life in Queensland (during my first visit to Australia). Your playful threesome here reminds me of that experience – delightful image!

  • Thanks Celete, glad this pic reminded you of your Aussie visit. White Sulphur Crested Cockatoos are always a delight to photograph. I appreciate your lovely comment. :0)

It’s great to get so close to birds that aren’t confined to a cage.

  • Thanks Eve, I appreciate your comment. I agree, I love to see birds cage free. :0)
