The Myths Of Love

I am a woman who loves all too much,
I am a woman who doesn’t quite love enough,
I live my life to the fullest and I laugh at adversity!
I am a child enchanted by her own company,
I am a child, abandoned, dismissed, discouraged,
I see all and feel all and learn about trust and mistrust.
I am a man who doesn’t give a damn!
I am a man who cares all too much,
I fight like a brave and I’m nobodys slave!

Chaos reigns in the heart of the family, the seat of learning,
The collective mind is bombarded on all sides with ambiguity and lies.
Fear and violence abounds,
Insanity is an uninvited guest, crashing in.
Bodies lay degraded, discarded, and disgust is a harsh god,
The soul is grieved and the family is blown apart.

Thus begins the Fear of Freedom,
Better the devils you know, Right? Wrong?
Break Through the Door of Your Mind to Your Destiny,
A Journey, an Adventure.
Exciting, Terrifying, Full of Pitfalls and Promise,
Do you stay or go?

Do I want to do this alone?
I thought I did, but everyone needs a soul-mate, Right? Wrong?
The cycle of dark love turns on its’ axis,
Self-contained, yet no man is an island.
Live and love, live and let live, or live and let die,
Thus begins the Fear of Intamacy.

Tis always a choice…

I choose Life and Love!

I am a woman who sometimes doubts her place in this world,
I am a woman deserving of my basic human rights,
I give my best, so I expect the best.
I am a child in desparate need of love,
I am a child, abused and rejected,
I see a child with unconquerable spirit.
I am a man, broken, beaten, scarred,
I am a man, determined,
I will find my place in this world!

Stripped naked we are, yet dignified we stand,
Tis not our disgrace.
We love with open heart, open mind, open arms, open hand,
We will not be violated, humiliated, laid to waste!

This is my PRIMAL SCREAM!!!

    Wow!! Medusa x …Every line is like a mantra….a statement…a call to arms….
The depth of this piece is psychologically primal…a rebirth of ‘The Self’
The weight of this piece is philosophically polemic…a refutation of ‘The Self’
The strength of this piece is physically powerful…a reformation of ‘The Self’

I would love to write a song using your words as the lyrics…for there is true lyricism in this piece both in content and structure.

...and I love your choice of accompanying songs…especially Tool…the 30sec scream 7mins into the song is spine-tingling…Your words and that sceam harmonise each other perfectly!!

From now on everytime I play that song and Ray Lamontagnes’ ‘Be Here Now’ on my CD player I will think of your inspirational words…Thankyou!

    Beautiful!!

    Elizium x

  • Delphine de Noire replied

Elizium, thankyou kindly for your wonderful words… You are right when you say “like a mantra… a statement…a call to arms…” A Battle Cry, A Primal Scream… A Voice for the Voiceless… I speak for those who through no fault of their own, have been treated unfairly & unjustly by those who should know better, but use their position to take advantage & abuse in the most apalling ways… In relationships & in society at large…
I love the way you liken it to a song… Beautiful…
I’m glad I was able to inspire you… You have inspired me immensely…
    I thankyou for this…

    your words resonate loudly medusa
our emotions get battered in the cruel twists of fate
many myths of love, the healer and the love the destroyer
but your words have strength and hope
as always your insight is divine
this is a great piece of expressive writting

  • Delphine de Noire replied

Thankyou kindly Charlie, tis true, The Myths Of Love is a way of saying I still believe in love inspite of all the pain that is involved… Knowing that along with all the pain, there is the pleasure, & we often create as much as we can bear…

I, too, am guilty of loving too much, and not loving enough…makes you wonder how anyone ever keeps things together…soulmates, I have always been mistaken in the past, and, now, I have given the search up…this speaks to all sides of love for me, proving there is more than one definition of it all….

  • Delphine de Noire replied

Absolutely… I’m learning that one can have many or few friends and this is precious… But often we find our soul mate within…

Thankyou for commenting, I appreciate it immensely…

if there was a better looking me out there for me, lol…I wonder though, would I like ‘me’ as someone else?

  • Delphine de Noire replied

I’ve learnt that we must first fall in love with one-self before we can connect with one-another…
I also believe we can be multi-dimensional without being psychotic…
I think, when one is forced into a singular role, that is where the problems arise…
There is much knowledge that is often beyond my understanding. But I try to regard what I do with an open mind, and apply whichever philosophy is helpful at the time…
You may be surprised to learn, that you are more attractive than you actually realise Mychaelalchemy… It’s all relevant… It’s only society that dictates what is beautiful or attractive etc… but seriously, how banal… and boring… variety is the spice of life in my book…
We have the power to decide for ourselves, and not be dictated to…
You look pretty good to me… :-)

    Delphine x
