Currently, her research is focused on analysis of proteomes in search of patterns that reveal different adaptations to extreme environments in microorganisms. She is in particular interested in macromolecular structure, structure-function relationship in macromolecules and supramolecular assemblies, protein-protein interactions, and protein interaction networks. In addition, her ambition is to combine theoretical and experimental approaches in the study of robustness of the bacterium Deinococcus radiodurans.
