This is so awesome… i usually love the way you work your dark blacks and here you have created an awesome piece full of softness and interest! Beautifull framed and great use of space. Superb work M as always!
Interesting perspective. Upside down, right? Certainly adds to the aura of it. Would be an interesting series, all along the same theme. I’m really intrigued as to how you achieved this, and every way I can think I’d like to attempt!
hey stephen…... this isn’t a manip at all…but your right it is upside down…..in a fairly dark room i pushed my hand onto the wall and set up the camera on a tripod for a 20 second exposure…when the shutter released i tried to stay as low as i could and move the rest of my arm and body as much as possible without moving my hand…. i’m thinking of trying the same technique with a series of portraits by somehow clamping the head so that the rest of the body can be moved without affecting it….anyway glad you like it…!
This is so cool. I did some research into synesthesia in my honours program last year – interesting stuff – and this captures such an intangable idea exceptionally well.

Creepy and gorgeous, emerging from the amniotic sac, reminds me of a Sigur Ros gig.
