Memories
I thought of you again today
Even spoke your name
And in the telling of your life
I felt, again, the pain.
To have you for the years I did
To know it’s over for good
I should have said I love you more
And now only wish I could.
And now a memory walks my mind
And a dream left with you that day.
I know, I know that life goes on
But still I have to stay…

Debbie….those words have touched me deeply. People don’t understand the importance of letting go of insignifcant drama’s and concentrating more on making each day a joy to be around those that we love. One day….you just may not have that chance to express your love and the last thing you want to remember is never saying I LOVE YOU to those that mean the world to you.

Bekster, you caught exactly what this meant! I wanted to leave it to interpretation, either an old love remembered, or a loved one passed. In this case, it is for someone who has passed, and an ache that is long healing.
Thank you so much for your words!
