Bananas are
WONDERFUL
Bananas are
COOL
My mam buys loads of them
(And she’s no fool)
You can mash them on a piece of bread
Eat them secretly in bed
Put the skin
upon
your
Head
and look a proper narna
Sing it to any tune you like – repeat until it drives you bananas
Banana song (a song for the very small)
Banana song
A rhyme I wrote for my kids when they were very small because I was sick of singing The wheels on the bus go round and round….....

OMG that rocks my world. Still laughing.
As a writer you most certainly didn’t just get of the banana boat man.

I plan on memorizing this. It’s a divine bit of lyricism.
One day I will share the ketchup poem with you.
Irene Burdell, 5 months ago
I think you need to get out more , very funny though.

Love the song Meach specially “Eat them secretly in bed” and falling overhead and mash them on your sheet till they are no more to eat.

Meach in reply to Irene Burdell’s comment, 5 months ago
Is that an offer Irene – where are you taking me?
Meach in reply to Gilberte’s comment, 5 months ago
ONe of this songs biggest fans was a Downs syndrome lad called Paul – he drove his parents crazy playing a tape of it in a small caravan on a very wet weekend
Barbara Sparhawk, 5 months ago
Okay Meach, but it’s not lyrics, no where near as lovely as your banana song, and I learned it in the girl scouts and (regrettably) never forgot it.
Shake and shake
The ketchup bottle.
First none’ll come
And then a lot’ll.
Meach in reply to Barbara Sparhawk’s comment, 5 months ago
I like that – may work on it and turn it into verse two of the banana song
