Gosbobbuoylings Aloud

This is a response to the completely bizarre tale of Buoy meets Swan that arose in the comments on this picture Here

Barbara is still in the closet.
Buoy – died in 1966
Swan started a hippy commune in Neesden and still lives there to this day.
The Buoy band lasted for three years until hard Bobbing took it’s toll (about £5.45) on all of them.
Bobby Williams continues to perform best forgotten jazz numbers in the Hope and Anchor, Bridlington.
Mat and Mike got it together following a Civil Ceremony in Rhyl and lived happily ever after in Splot, Cardiff.

This picture is dedicated to a friend who is feeling down – thinking of you 002

Gosbobbuoylings Aloud belongs to the following groups:

Globes, Spheres and Curves, Humour Captured and Wales, Rich in Beauty

I’ve escaped….er, been released actually. Band manager, bail, that sort of thing. Bit distressed seeing disorder with all the Bobs at sea, where’s GrannyNanny (she warned the match was imbalanced). Hasn’t Swan come up for air? Stunned to hear of BobBuoy’s demise, ‘66, explains all the long pauses, why it was so hard to get him to go anywhere. At least BobDrumBuoy’s got some use out of old dad.
Rolling on the floor with this one, Meach. No idea the periscope was so visible, longing to visit, couldn’t help myself. Have I been away so long? Mat and Mike the real success story. Darn cute those topsy turvy Bobs. Musician’s life not easy.

Little legs in the air – buoys in the bath – hmmmm no wonder the singer was always so tired.
Barbara we’ve pinpointed the problem here – now we know what Bobby and Bobby and Bobby and Bobby and Bobby and Bobby (the drummer) have been doing with their monogrammed lunch boxes when they should have been ‘doin’ their book learnin’.

You’re such a humurous story teller Meach but also such a clever photographer.
You have a good assistent writer in the person of Barbara Spar.
I think you like good food too.the first idea that comes up with you is food:”tinned meat” “swan in the oven” “tasty buoy” I admit I spoke of chocolate lol

Following the bubblemail that flooded in wanting to know what happened to Grannynanny with the opposable thumbs:-
Grannynanny – having discovered that opposable thumbs meant she could grip things went around ermm randomly gripping things until one day she gripped the Dick of Thing Van Dyke – actor, singer, comedian, pavement artist and chimney sweep of this parish. She stayed with him to have adventures and lashings of ginger beer until the wind changed.

I”ve just caught up, ribs needed surgery from too much laughing til crying. Thanks for the GN update, looks like a good match. Lashing of ginger beer, how divine. I heard the new Gosbobbuoyling’s solo on FM last night, all weepy and mournful, full of misspent youth, lunchbox drummings and ramblings, then Bob (I think Bob III, from the lilt to the soprano) lit into a chorus of If They Could See Me Now. Of course he’s done it all standing on his head with intermittent dunking so it’s hard to make out the words. Good at accordian, though. Swan still on commune I take it.

I’m not hearing much about swan – can’t seem to get a heads up on her at all. They mate for life, which must require a great deal of stamina and antiseptic cream – perhaps keeping her head under water helps cool her ardour.
Merchandising is going well – one card sold so far and the Bob and Barbie recording studio is ready to go on sale in the next week. In all things are fairly buoyant.

Boully boully! One of the Bobs stopped by a minute ago looking for therapy, we’ve scheduled a session in the pond, he’s mucked up the rug and I refuse to (ever) buy a vaccuum cleaner so it’s annoying. Do all musicians have this problem? He says that Bob’s Barbie used to be his Barbie, can’t stop weeping, now the pond’s gone salt and the frogs are leaving. It’s confusing me, I’m not a therapist but he’s put something up on You Tube with the band and referrals, old Volkswagon microbuses are stopping by, seven in the driveway now. Look, if you can reach the main gosling Swan and get her to talk some sense to the boys, tell her about the merchandising bit, all these birds are capitalists at heart…awaiting salvation….....

Just wave a tarry rope at them and shout ‘The fleet’s coming in’ – guaranteed to shift any carpet staining Bob -temporarily at least. I have a feeling the wind will change soon and the whole band will just drift apart.

Bob (middle Bob) has just rung to say he’s leaving the band and going to live the simple life with a lobster pot. Swan has finally found the plug and the pond is draining. Life as the Bobs know it will never be the same again. The end of an era. :-(
No doubt the company will release the Gosbobbuoylings White Album featuring all the bum tracks they gave up on and there’s the Christmas single to keep the dream alive a little while longer. Other than that all that’s left to do is buy a little Fisherman’s Metal Shipping Container, grow roses and have all the mail re-addressed to DunBobbin, Fisherman’s Wharf, Bridlington, Devon.

Had to get away after reading your update. Too sad…went to the local p.o….ten year old groupie there making the peace sign, upturned webbed toes on her head and a shirt that said Free The Gosbobbuoyling Six, at her lemonade stand with petition to sign. I turned away.
