It's around here somewhere
Swan meets Buoy – Buoy meets swan. Swan hides her head (she’s shy).
“What’s your name Buoy?”, she asks from under the water (in a speech bubble presumably).
“Bob”, he replies.

I love this relationship, they seem convincingly connected. But. Do swan and bobbuoy get to be life long friends? Do bobbuoys mate for life? Swan likes his stability but worries that he doesn’t quack. Sing.?
Meach, 6 months ago
Buoys like to be tied down but these big white birds prefer to swan around so I think the relationship is doomed really.
Barbara Sparhawk, 6 months ago
oh NO!!! I was already imagining little round white things with webbed feet.
Swanning around. You’re funny. I knew that.
It’s probably just as well, Swan would go nuts trying to get the gosbobbuoylings to dive instead of their incessant… bobbing.
Meach, 6 months ago
Gosbobbuoylings – wow that’s not easy to say. Trouble is all the Gosbobbuoylings would have to called Bob – all the little labels in their school coats would say Bob, their lunchboxes would have ‘This is Bob’s’ written on them in dodgy handwriting. They would have to have fairy stories read to them at bed time about ghosts and Bobgoblins and when dad said ‘goodnight Bob’ it would be like a choir answering back – no – it’s no good. Swan will just have to marry a Duck with no legs that sits by a door and answers to the name of Mat.
Gilberte, 6 months ago
Meach you are so funny..you make me laugh so much that I should forget to look at your perfect picture. The water is as creamy as liquid chocolate hmm..the buoy tasted it; it already has a chocolate beard. How will the duck’s neck be when it comes up?
Meach, 6 months ago
Has the swan really got a neck – maybe it’s an experiment in selective breeding to make swans easier to get in the oven. No maybe not but would Bob be any tastier?
Barbara Sparhawk, 6 months ago
Apparently we’re all completely mad. Which is a good thing.
I think Swan wants a fellow with more adventuring than Mat offers doorside. Now that Gilberte has made her a ChocolateRingedNeckSwan and bearded BobBuoy… clearly aristocrats. The Gosbobbuoyling’s Grannynanny will have opposable thumbs to do the dodgy Bobinthecollar and lunchbox labelings. At age five, the little ones will form a jazz group The Bobbling Bobbuoy Breaddunkers of Wales Sextet. Mat will be hired for security and referred to as The Wales Webfooted Bobbling Bobbuoy Breaddunker Bodyguard.
Meach, 6 months ago
Then one day Bob is, well you know Bobbing, when along comes Mike (a tall thin chap who makes a living out of helping people hear). The begin a gay relationship which tears the Jazz Group apart. One goes solo and becomes Known as Bobby Williams and the rest blame Yoko and form a Buoy band. There first single – Floater goes straight in at number two.

I have to stop. I’m rolling on the floor laughing. Oops, need to duck in a closet the supervized care personnel are at the door. That means I’ll have to be dragged out of the closet. Well, I’m not IN the closet. There’s no closet. Maybe I’ll hire on to help the boys. In the closet, hearing Floater. Oh they’re outted. They’ve all clearly got fuller futures than feathered fellows ever ‘fore dreamt.
Swans and buoys and Welchmen named Meach will never be the same for me.
Meach, 6 months ago
If you’re in a closet that doesn’t exist with a load Gosbobbuoyling’s better not apply for a job with the police – I think it was Confucious who said that or was it Descarte? Some clever dicky with nothing to do but think
gypsygirl, 6 months ago
ROFL!!!!! Just reading all of the above, hilarious!!! Great photo by the way and I love the life and times of Swan and BobBuoy!
Barbara Sparhawk, 6 months ago
Actually, the nice police officer said I was right in line for a job they had, I clearly qualified. I inquired did it comes with swans and buoys. He said, How d’you mean? Well, said I, the chocolate bearded BobBuoy hadn’t mentioned the coppers, but then he was tending the Swan’s singers, as the Floater’d hit two right off, the single not the album, and there were labels and lunchboxes to tend to before work fell behind and Grannynanny was all thumbs. AT THAT VERY MOMENT Meach’s swan shows up and explains RedBubble! So now we’re fine. (Chocolate, by the way, from the neck up). BuoyBob says he only posed in the first place because he’d been misinformed, thought it was YellowBubble. Oh. Swan says has the contract got an escape clause?
