To be honest I don’t find WH Smith that useful these day, they seem to have gone very down market – the books are all celebrity this that and the other and the range of CDs is pretty poor too. A piece of black card was their best stock item!

Hi Meach..again a perfect shot.I love the shape and colour of Aliums.Lately I received a big bouquet of pink roses, alstroemeria and alium.It was a dream.As the aliums lost their purple petals, they were like balls of green bubbles and I used them in a flower composition.Next day, as I was writing at the table, I found there was such a strange smell in the room and could not think what it was .There was a very clean cloth on the table but I thought maybe something has been spilled on it and doesn’t show.I’ll wash it .So I did.
Entering the living-room next morning, there was a repulsing smell and yes..it was ..the alium.Threw it away but I still have to iron that clean tablecloth!!
