Great shot, these big full moons can be very hard to capture detail….at least when you put a big 10 inch mirror on them..lol…..you did a good job getting out there…..:)Tim
Thanks Tim! I plan to take more of the moon in different settings (black background isn’t the most exciting) — appreciate the comments :)

Good work, nice detail and exposure.
Thank you Marion, appreciate it!! :)
Awesome thanks for the setting, I will try them next time well done…gina
Welcome — thanks for you comment :) When it’s a full moon, you can use much faster shutterspeed, it’s awesome! I finally got my 100-400mm lens! Can’t wait until the next full moon…
Beautiful capture Melanie, this turned out very nice.
Thanks so much, Johnny! :)
Thank you, Tania! :)
fantastic moon shot Melanie, wonderfully stark and crisp.Regards,h
Thank you very much — appreciate your comments! :D
Thank you again! :)
Excellent job, I find it very difficuolt getting a picture of the moon because of the brightness.
Thanks JG! :) It was a challenge, haven’t been able to catch a clear shot like this since then, have to wait until the next full moon again!
Wonderful shot of that big full moon. Great detail.
Thanks again Lisa! Appreciate it :D
Very nice Melanie, the full moon is very tricky to shoot well as there’s so little surface contrast. If you want a different backdrop, wait till just after full moon, and you can get the moon against a lovely blue sky (assuming the clouds part of course)
Thank you!! Superb feedback, I appreciate it! :) I am thinking about joining the local astronomy club in my area, I believe they also do some space photography. Keep up the great work and thank for your comments! :)
