My wife and I recently tried out a new trail near our home and were surprised to find this lovely view of Mt. Rainier rising over the trees with the wetland in front. I will definitely be back here for more! The water in the foreground is actually part of the flume built in 1911 to divert water from the White River and create Lake Tapps, a reservoir that provided power generation for years but is now used mostly for recreation.
Taken in Printz Basin near Bonney Lake, Washington, USA, with a Nikon D300.
