just a few words I can think to describe you and
your eyes.
Lacking passion, empathy, selflessness, and love-
just a few things I can think that help you
get by.
Frightened, cowering, lost, and alone-
just a few ways I can think that you act just
to be.
Quietly, discreetly, singularly, and with certitude-
just a few ways I can think that rot forms
within me.
Without freedom, choice, assignment, or indifference
just a few spring forward and from all
become naught.
Without laughter, life, compassion, and healing
just a few fall back and soon
are lost.
Bring me depth.
Bring me necessity.
Bring me air, fire, and more.
Bring me forward,
then push me backward,
let me fall out the door.
Give yourself to nothing
and expect someone
from nothing
but,
it will burn your soul.
So,
my soul or this bridge?
The bridge I constructed alone?
To date there’s no addage
to ease a worn soul’s moans.
Devestation, creation, kryptonite, and a muse
are just a few things I can think which help
to survive.
Overcoming, believing, and grievance without seeing
are just a few things I can think.
I think.
