I love how beautifully detailed the birds and coliage are, creating such a vivid contrast with the central figure. It’s very emotional and touching. The composition, colours and painting are gorgeous. :)

Thanks for the comment. I faced it to a degree when my daughter left for college, although I still have my son at home. There is no question about it, the “nest” we nurture and care for changes forever at some point or other…
