Wolves Watch the Winter Bison by

Dead of winter in Yellowstone’s Lamar Valley. Wolves and Bison coexist, but if the Bison weaken they may fall prey to the patient wolf pack. Absent obvious illness or weakness in the Bison, the wolves remain a safe distance knowing that the injury they would incur in a frontal attack would undoubtedly lead to their own demise. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA.

Extraordinary as in beautiful!! It is an amazing nature scenic, and I love seeing the wolves in their natural habitat. Beautiful work!

    • Thanks so much Sharon – it is amazing to witness. I have been watching them since they were restored to the Park and the thrill remains – nothing like the soulful howl of a wolf in the wild.
