Summer evening . . . One of my favorite campsites in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming (USA), on the banks of Slough Creek. This is Griz country – big male walked right across the creek seen here while we camped last summer. Moose, Trumpeter Swans, Bison and Elk can all be found within minutes of this spot.

Canon EOS-1D Mark II, Canon 17-40 L@ 40mm, 1/200, f/4, ISO 800. Handheld.

Ken, love this image, but we only accept right out of camera. If you have this photo without any processing I will except it.

  • Chuck, Thanks – may have the original still but w/o processing the background mountain is seriously OE.

Yes, it is a beautiful campground. I hope to stay there with the gas gulping pickup camper this summer, while we do the park in the subaru.

I admire the way you composed this, with the creek leading the eye to the mountain and sky. Beautiful work.

I love this!!! I see your in Montana! I live in the Idaho Panhandle and love visiting the Kootenai Falls. A friend of mine lives close enough where her front yard is the view of YellowStone, and I hope to make a trip there soon. Anyhoooo…BEAUTIFUL shot Ken and very inspiring!

  • I’m envious of you friend – used to live close but a couple hours drive now – be sure and get there – it’s a special place.
