Nice shot, well this is just so well captured. Depth of field is awesome and the subject so focused on his guitar work. The colour treatment helps make this feel timeless.

  • Thank you Ben, i was a little disapointed with this shot, reason being i was hopeing to get more of a clearer fountain in the back. But at the end of the day i do like it. Thank you again Ben

I see what you are saying, there is a fountain there. If the fountain was in focus the two people would be in focus and maybe all this would be a bit distracting to the great image of the guitarist..but that’s just what I like. I think it’s great how it is.

  • VEry very true Benm see it takes someone else to provide there view to give you a different view. Thank you

  • I use lightroom 2.0 a lot, i don’t use there standard settings however I am to change the image enough to make it look aged I also then add a kind of border, i do this through Midpoint vignette again in Lightroom.

you dont need to used a flash when you used filters this shot could be done with out lightroom with a uv filter and yellow 2 filter and maybe a polorize 3 filer.

    but still looks cool mate

  • Totally agree Loua and i would love to do this and there is a big however, Firstly money and more money and more money, you can go absolutly crazy with the amount of filters and extra bits and pieces that you can put on your cam secondly by the time you see a shot it is sometimes gone, So i make sure all my contrast and DOF is perfect. I wish i had enough money to be able to process all the images in a dark room but then again i would have used a yellow filter in the dark room as well. Man that is one of the best comment si have had i love constructive critism. Thank you my friend

go to my pics an look for ’’ were are the waves i used a uv filter and a yellow on the lends on the shot because it was to misti and the light was going down fast and that why the background is more fucus that the two ladys in the pic to enfesize the compo i recoment a uv filter and a pilorize one always in your lens, and also the horn sound is with a uv and a polorize 1/2 filter…;;loua
