Local celebrity mascot turns out to be picture perfect

David Petranker may be known as the Cronulla Sharks Mascot McHammerhead, but this mild mannered photographer is pressing the right buttons.

Petranker is one of the country’s up and coming candid photographers, his work has been seen by tens of thousands of people around the country and the world. You will find in his vast portfolio candid portraits of celebrities such as Russell Crowe, Ricky Lee, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Kevin Rudd, Dan Zane to name a few. Petranker’s eye for detail and the ability to be at the right place at the right time has enable him to achieve what some say the perfect shot.

Redbubble.com which is an online art gallery is delighted to reveal that David Petranker will be exhibiting 18 photos in a Milson Point art gallery in early April. Of these 18 works 5 will be unseen photos. The exhibition will last for one month and will be titled “city observations-a photo journey by DP”.

Petranker who has been a semi professional photographer for over 20 years says “I love catching moments in peoples life, you will never know what that moment was you will only have an insight”
