The Pinnacles Desert in Western Australia is part of the Nambung National Park. Thousands of limestone pillars which were formed from ancient seashells rise out of the shifting sands

Photographed under the night sky, the foreground has been lit using a handheld torch and ‘light painting’ onto the rocks during the exposure

Shot on a Canon 5D Mk III Camera over 30sec, resulting in the stars slightly streaking across the sky
