Busselton Jetty, located in the South West of Western Australia is the longest timber-piled jetty in the southern hemisphere stretching 1.8 kilometres across the clear waters of Geographe Bay.

It has taken considerable funds to maintain the jetty after fire destroyed a large section in 1999 and was almost faced with permanent closure, however the jetty was repaired and continues to operate, featuring an underwater observatory and train which can take patrons out and back to shore.

That’s an absolute cracker of a shot! Fabulous composition and the colour is wonderful.

  • Thanks Jennifer, I had to wait for the sun to come out for this one, it decided to hide behind some clouds for a while :-)
