Many locals and veterans of World War II came out to visit this liberty ship which was docked in Providence at Connolly Dock over the weekend.
Very few of these ships are still existing.
Dad, a qualified able bodied seaman with the Merchant Marines during the war, was assigned to several similar ships, and got a kick out of getting up close, but is unable to climb the gangway stairs. Over 2700 of them were build during the war.
