Artist's Description

The objects in the painting are from our home and when I knew that I had to paint this for the Workshop that I will be conducting soon. I walked around the house looking for suitable ‘characters’ for the up and coming play of light! The white sheet is one of my painting drop sheets from the studio that our dog has taken a liking to curling up on as she accompanies me on my adventures in the studio. The bottle of Chianti, was given to me for my birthday by my friend Ki Hong Kim who is a great chef and owns and runs a great Italian Restaurant The ‘Grande Piatto’ . All of my ‘Italian Cuisine’ still life paintings now hang at the restaurant. Plus my ‘Last supper’ painting titled “Welcome to our table” (check out these paintings here on redbubble.). The Garlic Jar, Clay Pot (from New Guinea) and the Wildflowers belong to my wonderful woman Carol. The Banksia in the forground is a particular favorite of hers! I like it too and it happens to be the first Banksia that I have ever painted. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed painting it!

Original Acrylic on Canvas.
