Near Bendemeer by Cary McAulay

One morning on a quite country road I saw these two trees in the morning light. I thought about how they shared their lives together, greeting each morning together for the last 100 years or so and now they do so in death.
in a few years I will go back to these ‘sisters’ and see how they are fairing.
I hope that that doesn’t sound to ‘odd’ but that is how I am, I like to ‘go back’.
Which makes me think…we all go back eventually…back to our Mother….the Earth.

*Original Acrylic on Canvas. 50cm x 60cm

Stunning color and depth…you can feel the expanse of this scene. Excellent work!

  • Thanks again Mate… Ü your support is a great thing, I have been away from the net a fair bit lately and living off the grid (just like the good ol’ days). I have been up Bush…getting a bit of wilderness…building the new studio…reading the classics. there is so much to learn from those books…my paintings will improve the deeper that I can connect with the great spirit and the wild man that is within me…like Gauguin seeking the ‘Savage’…understand nature…breath in that country air…see the heavens clearly at night…find my place here on this planet. hope that you have been staying away from those tornadoes!
