Cary drew in biro from the age of 4 until his first oil painting at the age of 16. With the strong foundation of the values of drawing when he began painting there was an explosion of bright colour in his art. The creative flood-gates had opened! Cary has won many Art Awards all over Australia, ranging from The Portland Art Prize and more recently the Bendemeer Art Prize (twice).
“With my art, I focus on the beauty of our environment and our effect we have upon the natural world.”

The look on the kids face, the eyes are somewhat disturbing. You’ve definitely captured the mood & planted it smack in the centre. An amazing piece Carry.

  • Thanks again… ;o)

    this is BEAUTIFUL!

  • Thanks phatpuppy! shyness is present in all of us at times…I think it is a beautiful balance to our more gregarious sides of our egos …the shyness of a young curious mind and heart is a blessing for all of us old crusty painters of human beings being.
thanks again your work is especially beautiful…truly one of the best…I hope you keep doing your thing for many many years to come phatpuppy….don’t get shy now! ;-)

Really beautiful work. The absence of the mothers hands reaching down makes me think that she is already heavy with a burden….maybe a large basket that she carries and she has no time to comfort. Wonderful colors.

  • thanks Elizabeth, yes maybe she has a burden….maybe carrying a turtle or a big fish. this mob are great hunters. the subject is from Cape York.
