    Gary, love the long shadows, the heat of the evening or the first warmth of morning. David

  • That’s quick off the mark, mate! I just uploaded this about 3 minutes ago!! wow…
    I always intended this to be afternoon light but upon reading your comment, I think it could be morning…I guess it’s because I always like to face north ( North is where my hometown is) hence setting sun on my left…I hope that makes sense!
    Thank you your comment is very much appreciated! ;-)

    I’m beginning to think you are a master of the light…. I love how your paintings glow…. do you glaze? I took it to be afternoon…. but does it matter? It’s fabulous… you have captured all the feeling of action in the bush….. : ))

  • Thanks Jenny…yes I do glaze…at times if it is needed.

    Just wondered…. your works have that glow about them… : ))

  • I think that comes from 2 things…1- I spent some of my formative years painting under the wings of some very talented senior artists in the ‘Home School Artist Colony’ @ Clifton Beach near Cairns in the late 80s .
    2- I have done a lot of trial and error kind of painting over the years since the art colony days…about 700 paintings or so…I think I am starting only now to actually have a bit of an idea about painting ;o}

    thanks again Jenny…
