Yes, the original painting has been sold! But that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a great looking framed print of this artwork on your wall.
Two interesting points to remember…
1 ) As my originals sell more and more, the prices for my original artworks increases in value! This means that the framed print that you buy of my artwork will also gain in value!
2) I will be working every day at making this a certainty by continuing to create this art form that defines my artistic life!
Invest in my art….watch your purchase gain in value as it adorns your wall.

Cary drew in biro from the age of 4 until his first oil painting at the age of 16. With the strong foundation of the values of drawing when he began painting there was an explosion of bright colour in his art. The creative flood-gates had opened! Cary has won many Art Awards all over Australia, ranging from The Portland Art Prize and more recently the Bendemeer Art Prize (twice).
“With my art, I focus on the beauty of our environment and our effect we have upon the natural world.”

The colours are so vibrant Gus and you have created the spirit of washday very well. Nothing worse than a smack in the chops with a wet sheet on a windy day hahahaha. Superb artisty mate :)
  • Thank you again and yes that does hurt doesn’t it?!? :o)

Great painting and great heart of you, Cary. Yes, there are lots of unseen work behind us in this world. We should paint them and only true artist can paint them.

  • yes I think that is why we artists are here…we are the poets of paint!

What a fantastic painting…. love the colours, composition and the thought behind it… I think washing is one of the most thankless tasks…… : ))

  • Yes my Mum always reminds me of that work done by women…the boiler…the ringer…the heavy loads etc. we have it easy these days! I am building a washing machine hooked up to a push bike on a frame….get fitter and wash at the same time! (I do the washing and cooking in our household as I am a ‘house hubby’ my partner has the 9-5 job, me I am self employed as an artist, so I can time manage my days!) now I know how much work it is!!! :o)

Ha… if you build that contraption and it works… then I really take my hat off to you for time management!!! Whoever said there was no time for fitness and work…. lol! I’m not sure the idea would take off though…….. ;-P

  • yeah I am hoping that the bike doesn’t take off when I get on it ! that could be embarrassing ! ;o)

Great art and humour. White sheets in that soil you would be joking. Love it……..Sandy

  • Yes, the women of the outback need to be optimistic…these sheets probably ended up slightly pink! (come to think of it those sheets probably would dry a one end of the line by the time she has reached hanging at the other!) :o)

Really if she drops one of those sheets on "that’ ground…it would cause a nervous brakedown in that poor woman…!
