very nice, you must have had a great time there

  • Thanks Mate, yeah just after I took this shot, I put my camera back in my bag and then “whoosh” a Sea Eagle swooped down and caught a fish in the water near those rocks and flew away around the headland! awesome! there is actually a nest on top of that vertical rock in the center of this composition!

  • thanks for the tip I am still learning the ropes with redbubble – although I joined last June or so…I haven’t really redbubbled much after setting up initially …then about a month ago I got the real redbubble feeling!
Thank you very much Linda really appreciate it- :-)
Thanks also for your positive view of my work, it means a lot to me and helps me stay at the easel a bit longer than I would otherwise!

with a talent like yours you should! I love this one it is such an inspiration to all.

  • Thanks Linda, yes it is always exciting here at the easel, as one of our dogs “Buddy” Last night chased a rat or mouse (the recent rains have pushed them up out of the creek and up our hill) he went through the studio knocking brushes etc everywhere(but no turps!) and slid across my palette. he has discovered the pink oil paint I had mixed up there… :-)
now he has pink paws and lower legs! by the time I got there he was well and truely ‘pinked’! he is a character!!!
    The rodent escaped!

Straight to faves, Cary. This is a superb painting, a tranquil atmosphere and beautifully painted. The sand and sea, are superb here – something I’m striving to paint well.
    Adding you to my watchlist!

  • Thanks Colin.
Colin, as long as you are having a go at the things in art that are’ hard’ you will continue to improve! think of something that is beyond your skills…go for it – paint it! the fact that you are setting the bar higher each time, actually means that nothing is beyond you!
Colin Cartwright – Master Artist – Capable of greatness!
has a good ring to it doesn’t it!
I always try and challenge myself… as a young artist – I used to be highly competitive with other artists, then I looked in the mirror one day (not to shave!Ha Ha!) and realised that was a waste of valuable energy…now I am ‘competitive’ within myself. always putting the bar a bit higher….I am not always successful – I might add!
but you learn from every brush stoke!
    Go for it mate!
