These 2 defiant trees are clinging to the cliffs near Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump near Lethbridge Alberta, Canada. Native hunters many many years ago used to drive herds of buffalo off these cliffs to supply meat for their tribe for the winter.
How times have changed… there is a great interpretive center at the site now, but the buffalo are long gone.
