Artist's Description

Bruynzeel Sepia conte pencil on stone henge Paper

470 × 550mm

Seems this drawing has it’s roots firmly planted in Holland.

The drawing is referenced from an old photo probably taken by my great uncle in Holland circa late 1940’s or early 50’s. The pencil used to create the drawing was brought in Amsterdam on our 2007 trip.

The scene typifies what I feel the youth of today miss out on, fun, adventure and wondrous discoveries.

A big thank you to the Sydney group, Dutch Touch and Contemporary Pastel Painters for featuring this work.
