After Kandinsky - Woodblock Print by

My first ever woodblock print!
I have appropriated one of Kandinsky’s paintings because he inspires me and I feel woodblock prints lend themselves to expressionism very nicely.

210 × 295mm waterbased ink on stonehenge.
Colour was achieved using an ink transfer technique obtained from bread bags.

…….and what a fantastically rewarding result! This is really captivating, Marilyn – I keep finding more and more in this work. Would be great to see an article from you on your ink transfer technique (if you’d like to divulge it of course).
