Delightful. The different shades of blue make the water look alive. (It also makes me wonder what’s underneath the surface …) And I love the way in which you added warmth and happiness to this image: the dancing patterns of light on the waves, the warm yellow and orange glow on the city. Your prints tell stories that start living their own life’s in the head of the observer.

After Art Class, at Hazelhurst, wandered around the grounds, taking more photos. Reminded Melissa where you were, before doing that. Am very happy with my painting of Mittangong-Wombeyan Caves Connection, i.e., the tunnel and the valley, near the Wollondilly River.

The fading light in this is beautiful, such a warm background and so cool and inviting in the foreground, and good depth with such simplicity.

Marilyn, your “Venice” prints are amongst my favourites of your work – I’m saving up to own one, maybe two if I can!! You’ve captured to a “t” what I felt about Venice when I was there – the atmosphere is just wonderful. I love the different layers and textures you manage to encapsulate with your work.
