Henny

This is my beautiful mother, well its a drawing of her, when she was about 12 years old.
The original photo was taken in 1956 just before she left the Netherlands, with her family, to migrate to Australia.

White conte and charcoal on grey canson paper, 120gsm.
330×220mm

The original is part of my own private collection.

Henny belongs to the following groups:

1 on 1: The Fine Art of Portraiture , * Painted Ladies *, Contemporary Pastel Painters (2 per day), Dutch Touch and Works On Paper

I really like this one Marilyn! Reminds me (and yes… I know how ‘odious’ comparison are supposed to be!) of some of Egon Schiele’s portrait paintings of his wife…. Wonderful :)

Love Egon Schiele’s work, his work is so spontaneous. Thank you for the comparison.

Only the best children aged 12 came here from the Netherlands, in 1956!!
    Lovely work.

As well as a beautiful drawing, this is a wonderful piece of history for your family to treasure.
