A mind blowing painting, MBartworks. I love how you dicided to zoom in on a detail. This gives me a fresh new look at his work, that, otherwise, I would never have seen. You played with his creative toolbox – his light, the freedom of his brush strokes, his colours and his love for texture – but at the same time you made a completely new creation that is totally you, heart and soul. You painted this with care, warmth and a lot of respect for Vermeers work. It is a great hommage and at the same time it is a great original artwork from you, painted with impressive craftmenship. Love the blue of her dress … the careful movement of the hands.

Love Vermeer, I think he would be proud of this. Have you seen Dali,s version of Vermeer,s “Needle worker”, with parabolic curves extented, master,s secrets, exposed.
