Congratulations Marilyn. I still find it hard to believe that you did this lovely painting so beautifully with pastel. It is one of my favourite paintings on the Bubble.

Thank you Lynda, coming from you that is quite the compliment!

This is beautiful. I have a strange fear of working with pastels. I have tried acrylics, oils, coloured pencils, ink, gouache, watercolour, collage, but have never been brave enough to tackle pastels, despite once buying some oil pastels. I think I am afraid I will wipe them off, as my hands perspire sometimes when I am feeling warm.

beautifully done, great colours

Just like me, Monet had dense cataracts, and saw his world (in latter years) as monochrome blurs. This must have been in middle age, as there is some detail and remebered colours.
Wonderful, ‘painting the master’ here, Karin.
Superb!
