Marilyn Brown
Profile
A passion for art drove me to quit my day job and study art full time. Now I’ve completed my Diploma of Fine Art I am looking for a forum to show my work.
Art is about the ability to express our universe in a unique and personal way. It is up to the individual to interpret my art and in doing so find a common thread which binds us all.

Writings
Review - The Populous Cast - The Exhibition
They may say ‘familiarity breeds contempt’ but in this case seeing these works off the computer screen and in real life, made the experience breath taking.
Anzac Day - A tribute in images and words.
Anzac Day is very important to Australians, young and old. / To defend the Commonwealth our newly federated nation sacrificed almost an entire generation of young men.
Gingerbread Series
Inspried by the movie ‘Brothers Grimm’ this series of aquatints explores the origin of fairytales and dismisses their sanitization!
Earthwriting
I see Mother Nature’s words / everywhere I stare.
Pissarro - The First Impressionist
A fantastic exhibition which shows us his transition from student, to peer and from peer to master and mentor.
Review of the 'Dale Frank' Exhibition May 2006
His works are like gigantic lollipops with rainbows of flavours for you to reach out and lick.
