Painting back time.

Just wanted to show a photo I was asked to restore by an old friend.
I was asked if I could re-work the photo of her parents wedding into colour. I said I’d have a go and do my best, but she would have to give me some clues as to what the colours were first.
So, with that info in my mind I took a shot of the photo with my camera as a starting point, then loaded the file into PS and started work on doing the colours she explained to me (that she had been told).
An hour later I thought it looked not too bad, so emailed here a small copy as a proof image. I got the green light to go to print it, 16 inches on the long side.

In PS, I painted each colour onto a separate blank layer using the paint brush set to ‘Color’ blend mode. When all was done, adjusted contrast and flattened all layers.

Hey thanks all. Sorry for the small size of the image. I did upload it 1000pixels on the long side but I forgot when in a journal entry it defaults to a small size. I might make it visible in my regular gallery, whatchathink?

Great Job. Now she is going to tell her friends and they are going to tell their friends, and your going to be so busy, . . . you’ll be tempted to rename photo shop.
