All Tied Up

Australian navy warship HMAS Warramunga, docked today (29/3/08) at Cunningham Pier, Geelong.
I love seeing anything that may be in the ‘mega structure’ category, so when I learned this was coming to town I had to go check her out.

Great detail and texture, the desaturated sky and water work well to add to the mood and draw attention to the subject.

    Nice work.

    G’day Peter,

This very fine naval image and “Decked Out” complement each other very well.
All the superlatives I heaped upon “Decked Out” fit snuggly here too however I will add 5 more points for this one’s “X Factor”.
    Great work that man!

Great shot Peter. I work on this thing and was actually onboard when we pulled into Geelong when this shot was taken. Had a great time in Geelong. You have done a great job with this shot and it is good to see the ship on RB

Thats awesome to read that you were on this ship. She is a great looking girl and I had a ball looking her over. You have a great job….......and I can only guess at the experiences you have had while on this ship. RB reach’s so many people, it’s amazing.
Thanks for dropping a line and so happy you were able to see this picture.

It is definitely a different job Peter. I am not sure that the Commanding Officer would be all that happy if his ship really looked like this, but I really like the processing you have used here. Gives a really moody feel to the shot
