Australian navy warship HMAS Warramunga, docked today (29/3/08) at Cunningham Pier, Geelong.
I’m love seeing anything that may be in the ‘mega structure’ category, so when I learned this was coming to town I had to go check her out.

This is a wonderful perspective study of this maritime scene!
Very good placement of the ship in the vertical frame, incredibly good depth of field, nice and sharp throughout and the desaturation works very well.
A great combination of good photography and processing.

Why thankyou very much Dennis, I appreciate your kind words muchly.
My focus point was the pylon in the f/g…….......f11 took care of the rest.
Camera was set to aperture priority and the bracketing feature was enabled(with a 2 f-stop spacing, shutter was set to burst mode (5fps).

I’m pretty sure I used my Canon 5D and 17-40L lens for this, unless I’m mistaken and it was my canon 30D and Sigma 10-20….............I’m 90% sure it was the 5D combo’ though.
I’d have to check my DVD archives though.
When I process the 3 bracketed exposures in Photomatix it strips the exif data from the file, so can’t check it.
If you really really have to know, I will run it down for you no problemo.
