Thanks David and Johno. It looks warm and inviting but I’m afraid that couldn’t be further from the truth…....was zero degree’s, my fingers were numb and couldn’t feel the shutter depress…...the sound of the mirror slapping was my only confirmation I’d taken the shot LOL. About the processing, I have developed a desire toward the cross-processed look since joining RB and have been experimenting by adjusting the colour channels in the Curves dialog. Thanks for looking and commenting.
Wow Peter you don’t get this sort of response in such a short time if you haven’t taken an awesome shot! It is exceptional. So it’s curves huh? I thought it might be HDR. It’s brilliant.
Thanks again everyone. I’m over the moon with the response, makes the freezing early morning start so much warmer. Btw, I made two curves adjustments, the settings were as follows: R-90,128/G-121,128/B-165,128. The second curves adjustment was aslight variation of the same. The Histo on levels was clamped only on the left side. The only retouching done other than that was some spotting for dust in the sky. Thanks so much again everyone for the muchly appreciated response. Peter
Great work. Sorry to hear of the physical difficulties you went through to get it though….suffering for your art…Thanks, though….It’s a really beautiful result…

I love the tone of this one. you must have a wide angle lens. I wonder if you correct the perspective, would this picture be less dramatic.
If I ever paint, this will be one of those scenes I want to work on as a subject.
