Hot and Steamy

Hot and Steamy

This was a chance shot I took while sitting on the sofa in front of a sunny window while some ironing was being down to the side of me by my wife. The hissing of the steam couldn’t be ignored as neither could the look of the steam being forced from out into the warm Spring window light, so picked up my camera and grabbed a few shots, needless to say my wife was rolling her eyes while I was framing up lol

Great. I can’t believe you said this was a chance shot! Skill, vision, technique but definitely not chance.

Aaah, that’s almost scary… clothing irons aren’t supposed to look that slick! But you could make the clothing ironing industry (?) very rich with a photo like this one!

LOL…rolling the eyes cracked me up…do all photographers have to go through that? :) My husband does it too…that and the I’ll leave you behind if you don’t hurry up look! Love this shot…great clarity and tones….the light is superb as well…it’s easy to tell you have a much better grasp of your camera settings than I do.I was reading about how you process and some of it I understand and some I have no clue what you mean,I’m working on some portraits and wish I could figure it all out a bit better. Mel Brackstone pointed me to one of your tutorials.Anyway love your work!
