Peter, you have really captured the tragedy here with the heavy storm clouds above and the devestating drought below. And the poor twisted tree trying to survive it all. Speaks volumes.
I don’t think I can add much more to what has been said already. The sky is wonderful and the the colour just perfect to give the right feel. If only I could capture this atmosphere in my painting.
Thanks for all the positive feedback on this image. I have been by-passing Photoshop CS for processing a lot of my work of late in preference for Lightroom, it provides me with a very smooth workflow with plenty of creative options. Thanks heaps everyone.
Wonderful image….but a desperate situation with the drought. We are also experiencing the same here in the state of Georgia…peanut, soy, and fruit farmers are hurting badly! God’s speed to all who farm!!!
Thanks Chriss…....I hope you meant ‘processing’. I take manipulated as meaning that pixels have been moved around which I don’t do unless I mention that I have done so. Thanks for taking the time to comment and look. Pete
clarification: to me, manipulating is post pocessing; i.e. vignetting, dodging , burning, etc.. to move pixels around would be to reconstruct an image. – hope this is ok by you
