The Collector
My friend Anne is an aviid collector of all things and her house bursts with tiny novelties and the carousels are set to play and go round at Christmas to the delight of everyone.
The Collector belongs to the following groups:
The Artistic Nude and Yorkshire GritAnne collected tea spoons, perhaps to stir her tea?
Her very many egg shaped stones are wonderful to see.
After these came penguins, well they do come out of eggs,
and then I think the woolly lambs on their skinny little legs.
Then, there came the little pigs, such a delight to me,
the expression on their little chops just makes me smile with glee.
What about the little mice? They sew and dance, then spin and turn,
in tiny teacups do they sit, and out the wonderous music churns.
Oh yes, those marvelous music boxes. Boxes? Ice cream carts, tills and carousels.
Sewing baskets, windmills, clowns. Horses gallop, music swells. There are lots of super thimbles, small pewter casks with bears and elves,
miniature cups and coffee pots all grouped on lovely shelves.
And then came the teapots of every shape and size,
with tea chests and mimber pots, and baths to delight the eyes.
Now with this great collection of teapots cups and spoons comes a mystery,
now why oh why she collects such things and never does drink tea!
