Artist's Description

He is a foxhound or a foxhound mix. Deer hunters still hunt packs here and they are often found wandering. Sometimes they are abandoned in the woods to fend for themselves and become strays walking the road. If they can’t survive, they die.
Red got lucky – wandered up to a house and they kept him. He is tied sometimes – the house is on the creek and a gator is a frequent visitor, but it can’t climb the bulkhead.
When he’s loose, and I walk Granny Annie in her stroller, he barks and follows us. I got this shot last night between his barking. He’s got amazing eyes.
