This was taken on the drive through the 2007 burn along Bridger Creek in Montana. Sweet Grass County.

The sandstone cliffs and outcroppings here erodes, leaving the harder rock behind, which makes for a strange landscape, made eerier because of the charred skeletons of trees.

We were looking for elk, but saw Mule Deer instead and Watusi cattle! We did see cow elk tracks in the soft sand of the road.
